Julie Chen Moonves, who was among the first hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show) She returned on to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd episode. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. She also won an Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk show. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs through five female host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS News' weekday morning program The Early Show in 2002 and 2010 before becoming the host of the talk show. The anchor was for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news in the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq, among other major reports, for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo following the events of the 9/11 attacks. She went down and interviewed the father of the hijackers in an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers such as the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania, the former defense secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show, profiling celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves worked as anchor and reporter for the CBS-owned WCBS-TV station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). When she was finishing her last semester at University, she served as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). She started her career as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among Moonves' journalistic heroes. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning program Anatomy of a Riot which focused on those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
